So...it's 10:30pm on February 18, 2009 and I am scheduled to leave tomorrow morning for 3 months to Amritapuri (Amma's Ashram) in Kerela, South India. I have not packed a single thing as yet. The anxiety is beginning to set in but Thank Goddess, it's not overwhelming me.
Having left BC Housing after close to 2 complete years and going straight to the Faerie Gathering just outside of Portland at the Breitenbush Hot Springs for 5 days was a really great way to begin this journey of mind, body and spirit!
Jim and I returned from Breitenbush on the evening of February 17, 2009. The emotions and experiences of the Gathering are still very raw. I am in a real state of vulnerability beginning this journey to the beginning of time, before I ever was. Going to rest in the Lap of the Divine Mother is exciting but am I ready for the kinds of emotions and transformations that undoubtedly lie ahead???
Lord knows, I am physically not prepared as yet (haven't packed a single thing) and time is awastin'
More to this blog once the packing is underway and I am feeling more confident in my readiness for this journey.

ReplyDeleteThis was the first year in 20 years I haven't been able to go to Amritapuri. Based on that, I know without a doubt you will have a incredible life experiences. I look forward to reading your stories.
I laughed when you said you hadn't started packing. I usually pack starting a month ahead of time to make sure I don't forget anything. Different styles!
